And today I know who you are
But tomorrow this space will make us other so

the big week and after

it was a tough week. there's almost always something you wished you had done better or made better choices with. sometimes, you have to let it go, and let things be the way it is. but i did my best and tried really hard. im happy with the results of what i've learned

friday & saturday
went to the grad show (art center turns into an unrecognizable place- in a good way), hung out with friends, had lunches, had drinks, saw school people in non-school environments. etc. its a whole weekend of celebratory events.

first week off
slowly slowly cleaning and hanging out with friends. reading, and still watching more House episodes

yesterday
assisted nova from london with her styling of 'the gossip' music video. it was fun and stressful (i think i threaded 30 needles) and a lot more enjoyable (it seems) when your neck isn't on the line. it was also interesting to be part of the styling department as opposed to the art department. it requires dealing with more people and a variety of crazy personalities which makes it fun and unpredictable. the song was awesome, everyone was so sweet, craft services ruled, and got to meet a really amazing la based designer i've been following for several years. yesterday reminded me how awesome set/costume designing could be, but also how stressful and tiring it is. it was a full 17 hours of work and partying afterwards.

other things
still a large list of things that need to be done. and more play with J&J today and C tomorrow. and the weather is better.

I found a small table by the tracks and there, then, at 6:35, I sat down and I wept

friday
weather is dreary and still much to be done.

a thing about paper
i think i've learned a lot about paper and printing this term. paper is a beautiful thing. aged paper is even better. my favorite types of paper live inside old stationary stores run by old people. dusty and incredibly yellow at the edges

remembrance of things past

updates
so the chair model building is slowly, painfully coming a long. lots of torturous hours sanding, priming, sanding and priming which has left my right toe numb and my right hand in much pain. also, lots of crappy machining situations. and lots of calls and research on chroming techniques. it all sounds horrible, but its kind of fantastic in a way. i've learned a lot. still so much to do.

today
viscom class met at the chino airport to visit the planes of fame museum. a great museum of airplanes, i just wish i'd educated myself a little more about the history and functions of flight before i went.

lunch
Flo's diner next to the chino airport. its a truck stop diner and i loved it. i had great pancakes, and everyone's meal was drenched in gravy. probably the best diner i've been to in a while.

other updates
i can't wait for break.

one more thing
i am crazy about the the tv show house. obsession is a good word for this
